We live on a breathtaking planet where there is so much to discover. Infected by the travel virus, we leave everything behind and travel with our Toyota Land Cruiser truck camper along the Pan-American Highway.
We set off in Halifax and drive to Alaska. From there we only head south. The great thing about traveling is that it gives you the feeling that you do everything right. You dive in into this world, get involved with it and when you reappear, you realize how it has changed you. We are more than happy to share our experiences and adventures with you and hope you join us on our trip.

In another time I was a molecular biologist and worked in a laboratory. Now I am a photographer, drone pilot, web designer and much more. Already in my childhood, my parents aroused my curiosity for this world when we explored the lakes of Switzerland on a sailing ship during our holidays. Even back then I dreamed of rain forests, coral reefs and high mountains. For this and much more, I am infinitely grateful to them.
All of this I now can discover and experience. Our journey makes my life a dream. Again and again I am surprised by the beauty and diversity of our earth when I look out of our window in the morning. This is not just a journey, this is a life in freedom.

I was born and raised on the beautiful lake of Biel and already as a child I went with my father on challenging hikes in the Bernese Oberland or raced down snow slopes somewhere in the Swiss mountains… Later I lived and worked in the capital of Switzerland for many years. Bern is also the city I always like to return home to embrace my friends.
Infected by the travel bug, I however prefer to follow the call out into the wide world and enjoy its nature above and below water, experience different cultures and everything our planet has to offer. It took me a few years to finally set off for the adventure of my life. But now I have stored the suit and tie of my former banker existence and instead I enjoy day by day priceless moments along the Pan-American Highway from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego.

I came into this world as a fire brigade truck in Denmark. After several years of service to the public, Stefan and Thomas brought me to Switzerland and built a small but great house on my chassis. Since then I have been their holiday home on four wheels and with the start of their Pan-American road trip even their permanent and yet mobile home. Together we drive to many great places on this earth and from the moment I got to know them, my life is a fantastic adventure. I like to take them anywhere, no matter how bad the roads and how steep the slopes are.
days on the road
“Pura Vida” is used in Costa Rica to greet each other, but in this small Central American country, this is not just a phrase, but rather a philosophy and lived reality.
Curve by curve we slowly drive into higher and therefore cooler regions of Costa Rica. We are at lake Arenal, which takes its name from the volcano that sits on its shore. The nights are pleasantly fresh and we can finally sleep again without sweating.
We have been watching the spider monkeys above our heads swinging from branch to branch for a while now. We are in the very north of Costa Rica and stand under a huge tree that is the living room of these little circus artists.
